Your "WORD" for the New Year

We have been seeing lots of things in blog world about starting off your new year with a single word that encapsulates what you hope 2013 will be for you.  I asked the crew members to think what word they would choose for themselves and thought it would be fun to share

Lynda from My Heart's Desire

Transform is my word "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" "...we all are being transformed into HIS image..."  "(He) will transform our lowly bodies..."

Tracy from A Slice of Smith life

Hope is my word.  With the new life growing inside of me, there is joy and the hope that this new soul God has entrusted our family with will change the world and bring joy and hope to all those he/she meets.

Kelly from Cooking up Trouble

My word is Peace.  God's peace is not the absence of danger or heartache but His presence during the tumultuous times!

Amy from Sunshine Sentiments

My word is Fruit-- as in "Fruit of the Spirit"  My focus will be drawing closer to God.  I pray that the fruit of His Spirit will be seen by all in my daily life, in order to bring glory and honor to him.

Kim from Too Darn Happy

Commit is my word.  last year my word was Follow, as in learning to walk more in trust and obedience.  This year is about taking more steps forward and being proactive, even when I am unsure or afraid.

Heidi from Starts at Eight

Steadfast is my word for 2013.  Steadfast, meaning resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering: steady, firm, constant.  This is really a continuation of what began in 2012 for me.  The need to stand my ground and hold firm in what I believe, and to be a constant in a world of unsteadiness.

Diane from On the Alberta/Montana Border

Wisdom is my word this year.  My goal is to gain in wisdom as I listen and study the scriptures, both ancient and modern.  There is so much available to us.  And I need to be availing myself of it.

Anna-Marie from Life's Adventures

My word is Anticipate.  My family will have a lot of changes happening this year and we need to be open to whatever comes our way. I am looking forward to the adventure that life brings.

Please feel free to join in and leave your WORD and a sentence or two explaining in the comment section.

  4. My word for the year is intentional. I want to be more intentional as I grow in my relationship with God, to be more intentional in figuring out what He has in store for me in this phase of my life, and I have some chronic health issues I need to be intentional in figuring out solutions and finding the root cause! Only with God's help can I do those things, but I must turn to Him for the guidance!
